A Grand Evening

 April 6, 2019, 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm

This event brings together hundreds of performing arts families, students, and faculty for a fun and exciting evening of fundraising and entertainment. 

This annual event raises money which gives the Patrons the ability to fulfill needs of the department that are beyond the budgets of the department, school and district. This includes providing clinicians, coaches, guest artists; replacing and repairing equipment; providing food and transportation for offsite events; and awarding scholarships each year to deserving seniors. The silent auction portion of the evening takes a small village to create, and there are lots of ways families can get involved.

  • Business Donations:  We are so privileged to have many local businesses and other organizations make generous donations, but we always love new ideas and opportunities.  If you own a business, know someone who does, or think a business you frequent or work for might be willing to contribute in some way, please don’t hesitate to ask for a donation for this important event. Donations are tax deductible, and their involvement is advertisement for their business! 
  • Class Baskets:  We also have a class basket portion of the silent auction with items donated by you, our performing arts families. Attached is a list of class basket themes and items needed. We thank you in advance for your donations!  We have had so many enjoyable baskets in the past which are all due to our families, and their generosity and creativity.  We are hoping that you keep this list handy and shop for our important cause. There are boxes in every classroom and any gift card donations can be given to Mrs. Bird.
  • Wine Cork Pull: The incredibly successful wine cork pull debuted last year.  Like a carnival game, only a lot more fun, participants purchase a “pull” and select a cork to win a bottle of wine (similar to drawing a prize from a hat).  Everyone wins, but we need donations of wine for the event. Consider picking up a bottle and donating it, or even re-gifting a bottle that may not be your favorite variety.  In order to make this successful, we ask that wine donations have a minimum value of $20/bottle.   ***Wine donations cannot be delivered to the school, so please  email GHSPerformingArtsPatrons@gmail.com and one of our committee members will arrange for a pick-up.***

The most amazing part of A Grand Evening is our performing arts students! All of your wonderfully talented children perform that night: choirs, bands, orchestras, dance, and theatre performers put on a show that lasts all evening. This is the only night of the year when all performing arts groups perform at the same venue. This makes the evening a truly spectacular event! Set pieces from teh musical, "The Drowsy Chaperone", as well as some items from shows throughout the last 20 years, will be part of the decor that night! Feel free to invite family and friends and take a walk down memory lane, and enjoy this once a year occasion to see every performaning arts group WOW you with their spectacular talent. As this is our only fundraiser of the year, we do ask that every gues and volunteer purchase a ticket with the exception of student performers.
